Starting June 5th, 2 days away from E3, The Nintendo DS Lite will get a price drop to $99.99. This price drop comes in time when Nintendo Sales are starting to slip down the drain while the world waits for Nintendo to announced the successor to the Wii.
"From the moment it launched, Nintendo DS Lite hit a sweet spot for consumers in terms of value, experience and fun," said Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. "This new price point will introduce Nintendo DS Lite to even more consumers, and the new red packaging will make it easy for them to find their favorite Mario titles."
The red packing is similar to the Players Choice budget titles found on the Nintendo Gamecube but have been missing this current generation minus the budget. No price drops have been announced for said titles however a few retailers sell them for a lower price point including Amazon, Best Buy, Fry's, Etc.

PES 2012 screen shots.
Konami explains new improvements to the game as well.
Konami Digital Entertainment GMbH today revealed the first in-game images from its forthcoming PES 2012 title, showcasing the newly-implemented movements and animations the new game enjoys.
The new screens show a variety of situations from within PES 2012 that have been bolstered by new animations, visual enhancements and control elements. The Tokyo-based team has worked hard to ensure PES 2012 is a more fluid and playable experience, with the jostling system used in last year’s game now enhanced to offer proper bodily contact and physical reactions, while close control and the team AI has been reworked to provide a more realistic recreation of real football.
As such, PES 2012 gives the player total control, with dribbling now refined, while passing and build-up play are enhanced by AI that ensures teammates will make dummy runs and support the player with the ball.
PES 2012 will be released later in the year.

Toys R Us offering discounts on 3DS games
If you have a 3DS right now is a good chance to pick up a new game.
Toys R Us this week has discounted 3DS games to only $29.99 which is what regular DS games cost. There are several titles to choose from: Dead or Alive Dimensions, Rayman 3D, Ridge Racer, Asphalt 3D, and Super Monkey Ball 3D.
This sucks because I have a $25 gamestop gift card and a $25 amazon gift card that only counts on 3DS games so I'm still waiting for Amazon to have a sale. I wish I had a Toys R Us gift card.

Battlefield 3 gameplay video
12 minutes of Battlefield 3 gaming goodness.
Call of What??? that's what you'll be saying when Battlefield hits stores later on the year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The graphics are amazing and the sound effects are astonishing you might as well be next to the soldier while he's firing his weapon. I will more likely get the PS3 version but I am also tempted on picking up the PC version of this game as I am planning on upgrading my GTX 470 for a GTX570 or maybe do SLI. You can probably tell that I am drooling on my keyboard right now.

Kojima not happy about title cancellation
Konami cancels Kojima's year long project.
If you spend a year developing something then out of nowhere it gets canceled, you'd be furious too. The problem is that not every developer expresses their anger. Not Kojima though. In a tweet yesterday he express his anger and frustration about his unannounced project which he was working on for over a year because it got canceled by Konami.

"The thing that I spent one year delicately preparing became meaningless."
Many titles get canceled year in and year out even the ones that were already announced and with a release date. It's sad that an artists creation will not be seen by the world let alone played by anyone unless Konami decide to put it back on track but it's rare that a title that's already been canceled, come back to life.

Both of these are great series and I would highly recommend them to anyone who loves Anime but I would not recommend the standard edition because price doesn't change at all. If it was maybe $10 - $15 cheaper then I would say you're wasting your time reading this post and go buy yourself a copy when it becomes available. But when the standard costs the same as the premium then that is a red flag for me.

From the looks of this trailer it looks like a Mario Kart in the sky type game which does look amazing. I've always been a fan of flying games from Star Fox to Ace Combat. This game seems to be a cross over between Mario Kart with Crimson Sky's which will keep fans of the genre entertained.

Microsoft replacing Xbox 360 consoles with disc reading issues.
The new firmware affects everyone but for those who are having problems with the new update can get a free replacement.
Microsoft will be releasing a new firmware for its Xbox 360 consoles that will allow an extra GB of storage to developers to add more content or have better textures or graphics when playing. However some Xbox 360 consoles will not take the new firmware lighty and it could cause issues reading game discs.
Microsoft has agreed to replace these consoles for a new one and a free year of Xbox Live to those who are having this issue. Microsoft will also provide a free shipping label to ship your console to them. Resistance 3 Box-Art revealed.
Short, Sweet and to the point.
Resistance 3 will be released in September but it will not have any fancy art as it's front art is being kept simple. Resistance 3 will be released in September but it will not have any fancy art as it's front art is being kept simple. PS3 overheats with 3.61 FW.
This proble affects specifically users who have a 60GB and 80GB versions of the console.
So good news PSN is back online but bad news you need to update to F/W 3.61 which is causing problems with older generation PS3's. The F/W according to RockStar, is causing the console to shutdown because it overheat with.
“We have received some reports of PS3s overheating while playing L.A. Noire or beeping three times before shutting down/turning themselves off, mostly on older 60GB and 80GB fat models.”
“Primary reports seem to be that updating to firmware 3.61 will cause PlayStations to overheat. There have been various reports of this on a few different games now, all reporting their PS3s turning off or ‘Red Lighting’ after having installed 3.61.”
“This can range from games randomly freezing to PS3s turning off anywhere between 30 mins use to two hours. We have confirmed locally that multiple games (Rockstar and non-Rockstar) overheat or freeze only when 3.61 is installed.”
“At this time we are recommending contacting Sony directly to report the overheating issue. However, this is not the end of our support; we are continuing to test L.A. Noire on all firmware versions and hardware models to isolate the issues and see what can be done. As always, we will update this article as soon as we have updates.”

God of War PSP Collection coming to PS3.
Rumors coming straight from Sony Taiwan.
There have been several remakes from the PSP that make it into home consoles including GTA Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories as as Silent Hill Origins. Now God of War Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta may get that same treatment on the PS3 with update graphics and extra content if the rumors are true.
God of War Collection brought God of War 1 and 2 as well as a playable Demo of God of War 3 which can now be found for less than $30 at stores. GoW 1 and 2 brought HD graphics to the series which didn't look so well when played on a PS2 unless you had component cables and were able to play in 480P.
If God of War for the PSP gets the same treatment we might see it along a new God of War title but this is just my opinion on the matter but whether there is a new God of War announcement or not players would surely enjoy Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus in High Definision if the rumors are true.
