Kinect Star Wars is every fans dream come true, however I can't image myself trying to use a light saber without actually having a light saber. So if you're a star wars fan and already have a toy light saber somewhere around the house, it's time to break it out. If you don't a broom stick will do. Kinect Star Wars is expected to be released this Christmas 2011.

The Asskickers PC Review
After playing this game, you'll definitely feel like kicking your own ass for buying it.
The Asskickers is a simple side scrolling action beat em up game where you take the role of 1 of 3 characters with different abilities and speed. Alex is the most balanced of the 3 with his Agility, Power and Toughness all maxing out at 3. Diane is the fasters one with her speed maxing out at 5 but with a toughness and strength level maxed out at 1 and 2. The final guy known as the tank or Marcus has his strength and toughness maxed out at 5 but his speed is only clocked in at 2.
The story of the game is set in the near future when the US is no longer the US but instead is govern by one entity or the president who runs the corporations who are running the world economy. The story has a liberal type of political view that sort of relates to what is going on today. The level starts out at Wongs training facility with the son of the president coming to bully your selected character. You then start the game by doing what the game implies the most. Kicking Ass.
The game follows the traditional beet em up type of gameplay. Enemies will come towards you and you must kick their ass in order to advance. Each enemy has their own unique abilities and are categorized by rank which are light, medium and heavy with light characters taking a few hits to kill whereas the heavy characters take more hits to kill. Every now and then you will also get a super heavy character which takes way more hits to kill than the heavy type enemies.
When fighting enemies the game is very anal on positioning. Even if you’re an inch off you will miss your attack and vice versa when an enemy is attacking you, although the enemy has a less likely chance of missing his target. You are only given 3 lives with each extra life coming at every 5000 points you collect. If you die before collecting that extra life or towards the end of the level, you will be reverted back to the beginning. That’s right there are no check points here so either you though it out or walk away. By the way the game plays I recommend that you walk away.
The characters do feel light regardless of their class and the enemies move way faster than you do. In the beginning the game was so unresponsive; I wasn’t able to get into the gameplay until I bashed the keyboard with my face. I thought it got stuck at the character select screen but no it just needs you to bash your keyboard or joy pad until it breaks, then it will continue.
At times your character will also flicker up and down and teleport to different parts of the screen. Even if you reset your game which is not recommended, it still has the same problem. It’s hard enough for you to hit someone now imagine trying to do it while you’re teleporting mid punch. I found this bug in prison level and died soon after thanks to that bug only to once again get thrown back into the middle of the level.
Clossing Comments: Avoid at all costs
Play Maximum Carnage, Streets of Range or any other beat em up title besides this game. It’s hard to play, you’re punches have to be so precise otherwise you would miss, and if you die you will get sent all the way back to the beginning of the level. It’s just not worth your time playing, sadly it’s already too late for me.
Gameplay: Decent beat em up game but very anal on where you punch and very buggy. 3/10
Graphics: Graphics resemble a very basic flash game on the internet which is decent at best. 4/10
Sound: The soundtrack is somewhat interesting. Besides that there really isn’t any other sound effect. 3/10
Story: Story that mimics todays times but not very thought out. 2/10
LifeSpan: A couple of hours of gameplay if you manage to actually get through the game. 3/10
Total Score: 30/100
Fighting Fantasy: Talisman of Death coming to PlayStation minis 17/08/2011
Coming to North America also on 08/16/2011
The first instalment of the legendary 16m selling Fighting Fantasy series of gamebooks will at last be coming to PlayStation minis on the 17th of August 2011 (SCEE) and the 16th of August 2011 (SCEA), when Laughing Jackal will be releasing the PlayStation minis version of the controversial Fighting Fantasy: Talisman of Death. A brand new trailer showing the game in action can be seen here.
This PSN-exclusive version of Fighting Fantasy: Talisman of Death features a Tarot Card character generation system, and the classic dice-rolling rule set you know and love, with optional all-new Battle and Test Your Luck systems for bold adventurers to explore.
The intuitive Inventory system and an all-new Log Book help you to easily track your progress through Orb's magical world, making this the perfect way to relive this classic series.
Established in 2005, Laughing Jackal are the developer of PlayStation minis such as Du æl Invaders, Vibes, Ace Armstrong vs. the Alien Scumbags, Stellar Attack and Cubixx. We are currently working on a PlayStation minis conversion of the Fighting Fantasy series of Choose Your Own Adventure gamebooks, OMG-Z a chain reaction shooter for PlayStation minis and our first PlayStation®3 game, Cubixx HD, which will be coming soon to PSN.
I think what they need to do is bring the card fighting game found in Final Fantasy 8. They should just make an RPG type gameplay style where you go from town to town facing different opponents like Pokemon Trading Card the video game. Every time I go back to Final Fantasy 8 I always enjoy playing that card game.

ATLUS UNVEILS 4-CD PRE-ORDER BONUS SOUNDTRACK COMPILATION FOR THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII, REVEALS MORE DETAILS ABOUT CONSOLE-EXCLUSIVE CONTENT
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA - JULY 29, 2011 - ATLUS today unveiled a tremendous offer for fans who pre-order their copy of THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII, the latest entry in the legendary fighting franchise, for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system (PS3™) and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
At participating retailers while supplies last, fans who reserve KOF XIII will receive a 4-CD soundtrack compilation with music spanning the 15+ year history of the famed series, certain to be one of the best collectible extras in franchise history. Fans are strongly advised to reserve their copy as soon as possible at participating retailers to guarantee themselves the bonus soundtrack compilation!
Alongside news of the pre-order only 4-CD bonus, ATLUS also today shared new information regarding the console release of KOF XIII, detailing a host of game modes exclusive to the home version.
THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII is scheduled to release in October for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems. For more info, visit http://www.atlus.com/kofxiii.
The King of Fighters XII didn't do so well when it went to full 3D trying to compete with BlazBlue at that time. Street Fighter 4 had already made it's mark so I'm assuming they were trying to cash in on that crown. Never the less I am interested in seeing how they changed things. If anything we need to see another VS series with SNK.

Former and Current Nintendo President lose money on 3DS
We are talking about millions lost.
With all his pride Nintendo Preside Sotoru Iwata was clamoring the 3DS and how it's the next best thing since sliced bread and how even though it wasn't selling as well as they thought, it was still selling pretty darn good.
With the announcement of slashing it's profit forecast, shares of Nintendo fell on the stock marker and it seems everyone at Nintendo including former president Hiroshi Yamauchi lost money on this deal. Former President of Nintendo Hiroshi Yamauchi who owns 10% of Nintendo and is the great grandson of the original founder lost $300 million when Nintendo stock took a hit in the stock market.
Hirosh Yamauchi isn't the only one loosing money though as current Nintendo President Sotoru Iwata has accepted the blame for the 3DS and has decided to take a 50% cut from salary. Other Nintendo suits are also taking a cut in their pay.
"For cuts in fixed salaries, I'm taking a fifty percent cut, other representative directors are taking a 30 percent cut, and other execs are taking a 20 percent cut," Iwata explained.
I want to see Reggie's pay get cut 50% too. For you to see the gravity of the situation Sotoru Iwata brings home a hefty paycheck of $2 mil annually.

Nintendo Cuts 3DS Price
What about us early adopters?
Nintendo launched March 27, 2011 and everyone was excited about it and it even got great media coverage. Heck at E3 the lines were packed senseless and what not so why did the 3DS only sold 850,000 copies during the April, May and June quarter? There are a lot of statements going around that it's the lack of titles, no Nintendo titles and high price tag and even a combination of all the. I side with the it's all 3 but to be honest there are some decent titles available: Street Fighter 4, PES 2011, Legend of Zelda, Asphalt, and Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.
First I think that there was a problem with the way the 3DS was designed. The original Gameboy had many versions but it was always changing so people had something new. It went from the Phat gameboy to gameboy pocket to gameboy color to gameboy advance and then gameboy advance SP. It was constantly changing and eventually Nintendo retired the gameboy and focused on the new Nintendo DS which has 2 screens. Everyone was excited at first but then here comes Nintendo again to introduce the DS Lite, DSi, and DSiXL.
The 3DS borrows the same design from the DS and it really introduces nothing new to the handheld market in terms of innovation besides the 3D. Nintendo already got away with the Wii when it was released back in 2006. All they did was use old technology, add a new accessory and charge $250 for something that should have been worth $150 in the beginning. Yes people who never played bought it but then they were asking themselves "what else is out there for things thing?". The truth is there was nothing else out there for it and Nintendo thought it could get away doing the exact same thing with the 3DS but people aren't buying it no pun intended.
As for the price it really shows you how much Nintendo is ripping people off by announcing an $80 price drop just 6 months after the console launched. This didn't piss me off because I only paid $225 for it technically speaking with a free game and I got the chance to play the console before anyone else did. But really Nintendo isn't leaving early adopters out in the dust. As a matter of fact we will be getting 10 free NES games and 10 Free gameboy advance games if you sign into the eShop before 12 midnight on Aug 11. Whether they'll be in 3D is anybody's guess but Excite Bike was in 3D and Nintendo gave that out for Free.
The games are also very expensive on the system. DS games normally retailed for $29.99 with price drops coming in almost instantly. Now you can get great DS games for $10 - $15 if you know where to look, perhaps even cheaper. All games on 3DS run up to $39.99 and that is the average. Users will have to wait for the Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale in order to get some type of discount but waiting for that is just like going to Vegas. You don't know when you will hit the Jackpot.
Another factor that probably brings hate to the 3DS is the fact that Nintendo has stated that if they find something that doesn't fit with their agenda on your console, they will render it useless. This is stated on their terms when you first purchase the console and if you don't like it well too bad Nintendo doesn't give a shit as long as you give them your money. This really pissed me off since I want to bring my current project to other platforms but won't be able to bring it to a Nintendo platform because they wont let me use the device that I purchased with my hard earned money as an SDK. Sony on the other hand has stated that they will have cheap SDK's for the Vita because they want independent developers to bring their titles to their consoles.
All in all Nintendo has really screwed up but even if they fail with the 3DS and the Wii-U, they still have plenty of bank to continue the console race. Although recovering from said screw up will be almost impossible as users and developers will most likely have lost faith in any Nintendo consoles.

Silent Hill HD Screenshots
Finally, my year of therapy are over.
So in all honesty who really liked Silent Hill Remake for the Wii???? If you did, then you truly don't know what a great game is all about. Silent Hill is one of my most favorite games and I was really disappointed with the Wii Remake last year. So to my excitement I almost screamed like a little girl about to see the Backstreet boys sing for the very first time in middle school when Konami announced an HD remake of Silent Hill.
Today Konami finally released the very first 2 screenshots of said remake and now everything seems all right with the world.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Screenshots.
Whatever happened to DLC.
It appears that Capcom is trying to milk the VS series for every last drop it can try to get. Anyway here are some screenshots in case you're interested. But before you enjoy these screenshots, lets take a minute of silence for our fallen brethren who purchased MvC3......................................Minute over. Here you go.
